BURR RIDGE, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's tennis team won its third-straight match with a 6-3 victory over Denison University on Sunday. The Maroons improved to 4-1 while the No. 27-ranked Big Red evened their record at 2-2.
The Maroons opened the day with a pair of doubles wins and then captured four of six singles. Ankur Bhargava and Gordon Zhang came away with victories in both singles and doubles action.
"Our team played well once again and beat a team that was ranked above us nationally," said Head Coach Jay Tee. "But we're still looking at the big picture. We have work to do and we're constantly looking to improve in all aspects. Now we have two weeks of practice to prepare to face tough opponents in DePauw and Earlham."
