GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The No. 3-ranked University of Chicago women's tennis team lost to No. 11-ranked Johns Hopkins University 6-3 in the semifinals of the ITA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
The Maroons evened their record at 3-3 while the Blue Jays improved to 2-0.
Johns Hopkins started the day by winning two of three doubles matches and then went on to take four of the six singles matches. Megan Tang and Helen Sdizkhov combined to win at No. 1 doubles, Tang was victorious at No. 1 singles in three sets, and Sruthi Ramaswami also won her match in straight sets at No. 5 singles.
