CHICAGO, Ill. -- A total of eight University of Chicago athletes earned inclusion on the University Athletic Association (UAA) Silver Anniversary Teams for Baseball and Softball.
The teams consist of each student-athlete who was named Most Valuable Player or accumulated five or more points with two points awarded for All-Association first-team recognition, and one point for second-team honors in his career. Beginning in 2009, there were separate All-Association and All-Tournament teams with the 25th-year selections based on the All-Association honorees.
UChicago has not participated in the UAA Tournament since 1997 in baseball and 1998 in softball. Maroons players were also not part of the All-Conference voting process from 1997 to 2008 in baseball and 1998 to 2008 in softball.
