Orlando, Fla. -- In the first round of the UAA Championships, the University of Chicago men's tennis team lost to Carnegie Mellon University 7-2 on Friday.
The No. 29-ranked Maroons dropped to 12-5 while the No. 16-ranked Tartans improved to 13-5.
UChicago's two victories came in singles from Gordon Zhang and Harrison Abrams, who both prevailed in three sets.
