Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The University of Chicago women's soccer team stretched its win streak to four with a 2-0 victory at Kalamazoo College on Sunday. The Maroons improved to 7-2-0 while the Hornets fell to 4-5-0.
Senior forward Natalia Jovanovic put the visitors up 1-0 with an unassisted goal at 22:30 mark of the first half. UChicago controlled play early with a 6-1 shot advantage. Kalamazoo started to even up the stat sheet with shots of their own. The two teams went into halftime at 1-0, with the Maroons leading shots 8-5 and corner kicks 2-0.
Only 74 seconds into the second half, sophomore midfielder Naomi Pacalin scored her fourth goal of the season with an assist by Jovanovic.
UChicago finished with a 13-10 shot advantage and a 4-1 corner kick edge. Senior goalkeeper Angela LaScala-Gruenewald (4-0-0) picked up her second shutout of the year while making two saves.
