JANESVILLE, Wis. – The University of Chicago men's tennis team lost to Gustavus Adolphus College 7-2 on Saturday.
The No. 30-ranked Maroons dropped their third-straight match to fall to 3-4. The No. 18-ranked Gusties ran their record to 8-1 on the season.
Gustavus won the three doubles matches handily and outlasted the Maroons in a trio of three-set matches in singles. UChicago freshman Sven Kranz and junior Deepak Sabada held sway with straight-set wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
