CHICAGO – Senior midfielder Nicole Mullen provided both goals for the University of Chicago women's soccer team in a 2-1 home victory against University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Tuesday.

The Maroons (3-2-0 record) have now won all three of its home games this year by a combined score of 13-1. The Titans evened their record at 2-2-0.

UChicago struck first in the 15th minute of the match. A foul gave sophomore forward Mia Calamari a free kick, and Calamari skied the ball to the left post, where Mullen finished with a header into the back of the net.

The Maroons kept possession throughout the first half, but came out charging even more so at the beginning of the second half. The home side pressed up and produced a multitude of shots on goal and corner kicks. Mullen eventually struck again at 59:39 with a wide-open blast from the top of the box into the upper right 90. Calamari was credited with her second assist of the game and her fourth of the season.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh felt the urgency in the final minutes and pecked away at the UChicago defense. The Titans halved the deficit with a goal in front off a rebound with 1:07 remaining on the clock. The Maroons held from there and earned their seventh win out of the past eight home games.

In the final statistics, UChicago held large advantages in both shots (25-7) and corner kicks (11-3). Freshman goalkeeper Piper Mik made four saves and allowed one goal to improve her record to 3-2-0.
