Additionally, UChicago received the Steve Wilkinson Team Sportsmanship Award from the ITA.
"First and foremost, we have to give credit to Emory," said Head Coach Jay Tee. "They played a great match and I feel like they earned the win today. Secondly, I'm extremely proud of the way our guys competed with heart, pride, passion and sportsmanship the entire tournament. I am really happy with our tournament overall and believe this will only help us as we progress throughout the season. We learned that we can compete with any team in the country and we know which areas we need to improve in. Once again, I want to restate just how proud I am of our entire team."
