Box Score CHICAGO – University of Chicago's women's soccer program fell 1-0 to No. 11 Carnegie Mellon University on Friday evening in University Athletic Association (UAA) action.
Both sides battled to a scoreless first half on the Stagg Field turf, but CMU broke through with the game-winner in the second half. In the 73rd minute, the Tartans converted a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box to take a 1-0 lead.
Hannah Rittenhouse led the offensive effort with three shots, one on target. Livia Sabloff had two shots from range on set pieces. Josie Majowka and Annabelle Pham also recorded one shot on goal each.
The Maroons take on No. 6 Case Western Reserve at home on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m.
