Box Score NEW YORK CITY – University of Chicago's men's basketball program suffered an 80-61 setback on the road at New York University on Friday evening in University Athletic Association (UAA) action.
The Maroons trailed 38-34 at the half before a strong second-half run from the Violets helped NYU distance itself down the stretch. UChicago fell to 9-12 and 2-8 in UAA play.
Thomas Kurowski led the scoring with 18 points on 3-for-7 shooting from distance. Eamonn Kenah added 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Arrish Bhandal had a team-high 10 rebounds and chipped in nine points. The Maroons outrebounded NYU 41-27, but NYU committed just three turnovers to UChicago's 10.
