HOMEWOOD, Ill. – The University of Chicago women's tennis team rolled its way to a 7-2 win over Purdue University Northwest on Sunday.
The No. 2-ranked Maroons improved to 3-0 and the Pride fell to 3-3.
UChicago began with a pair of doubles wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. Shianna Guo and Lauren Khou picked up an 8-3 victory, and the duo of Nicole Geller and Brooke Pedersen cruised to an 8-1 triumph.
Singles were similarly one-sided with five straight-set victories for the Maroons. Miranda Yuan only surrendered two games at the No. 3 spot (6-1, 6-1). The singles winners also included Guo at No. 1, Geller at No. 2, Pedersen at No. 5 and Khou at No. 6.
