SAN ANTONIO, Texas – University of Chicago's sixth-ranked men's tennis program fell 6-3 to 11th-ranked Trinity (TX) University on Thursday afternoon.
The Maroons lost 2-of-3 doubles matches and claimed 2-of-6 singles results, suffering their third defeat of the 2023 campaign. Jack Wong and Pat Otero were UChicago's winning doubles tandem at the No. 2 slot, defeating their opponents 8-2.
In singles, Emil Grantcharov dispatched his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the second spot. Jacob Lowen rounded out the UChicago winners at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
The Maroons take on Southwestern (TX) on Friday, March 17 to wrap up their spring break trip.
