LISLE, Ill. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team started the Benedictine University Tournament with a 3-1 win over North Central College and a 3-1 loss to Benedictine on Friday.

The No. 12-ranked Maroons ran their record to 24-9 on the year. The Cardinals fell to 22-8. The Eagles improved to 26-3.
