Box Score 2 HOLLAND, Mich. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team ran its season record to 6-2 after going 1-1 at the Hope College Triangular on Saturday.
The No. 14-ranked Maroons swept through Kalamazoo College in its first match by a 3-0 score (25-21, 25-15, 25-21). Morgan Clark was the kill leader with 11. Morgan Barry added eight kills on 15 attempts. Setter Nikki DelZenero tallied 27 assists, 10 digs and four aces. Eirene Kim collected 24 digs from her libero position.
The hosts Hope College used an efficient attack and solid defense to defeat Chicago 3-0 in the second match. The Flying Dutch remained undefeated at 8-0 and won by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-15. Maren Loe totaled seven kills, Kim had 12 digs, and DelZenero set up with 18 assists.
The Maroons will have six days off from competition until a weekend tournament at Carthage College on Friday and Saturday.
