ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team stayed undefeated in conference play with wins over Emory University and New York University in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin II on Saturday.

The No. 19-ranked Maroons (18-7) are now 5-0 in conference play so far this year.

UChicago split the first two sets with No. 4-ranked Emory (23-2), winning the first 25-20 and dropping the second 25-19. The two teams were tied at 22-22 in both the third and fourth sets, but the Maroons came out on top 25-23 in each to get the 3-1 upset victory.

The Maroons then swept through New York (19-3) with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-20. It marked the ninth time this season that UChicago has beaten a team 3-0.
