UChicago Athletics & Recreation Announces Creation of The University of Chicago Baseball Fund

CHICAGO – The University of Chicago Department of Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce the creation of the University of Chicago Baseball Fund.

The endowment was made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous donor. The fund will serve as a permanent source of ongoing support for the baseball program and its priorities.

"We are incredibly excited and appreciative of this outstanding endeavor," Head Baseball Coach John Fitzgerald. "This endowment fund will align perfectly with the University's mission to enrich and provide outstanding opportunities for our student-athletes. The support from this fund will positively enhance the student-athlete experience for our baseball players, not only in the short-term, but for generations to come. We are truly grateful for these very concrete growth opportunities that this endeavor will provide on an annual basis while reinforcing our mission to best serve our student-athletes."
