Box Score CHICAGO – University of Chicago's women's volleyball program pulled off a comeback victory over ninth-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday evening in front of a raucous crowd at the Ratner Athletics Center.
Staring down a 2-0 deficit after the opening two frames, a resilient Maroon side won the final three frames to notch its third top-10 victory of the 2022 season. UChicago claimed the last three frames, 26-24, 27-15, 15-11, respectively.
Maggie McInerney led the offensive effort with 15 kills, adding a team-high 24 digs for a double-double. Ellie Alden hit .333 with 13 kills while Diya Mishra racked up 10 kills to round the middle tandem.
Maya Patel dished out 35 assists to facilitate the attack while collecting nine digs and four kills. Julia Craig anchored the backline with 18 digs from her libero position.
UChicago will take on No. 4 WashU and Carnegie Mellon on Sunday, Oct. 16 at noon and 2 p.m. ET.
