CHICAGO – University of Chicago's women's volleyball program defeated North Central College in straight sets on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day inside the Ratner Athletics Center. 

The Maroons swept NCC by set scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-22, respectively, in front of a raucous home crowd. UChicago seniors Ellie Alden and Maddie Ryan were recognized post-match for their contributions to the program, of which sent the duo out on a winning note in their final home match.

Alden led the way with 13 kills for the second consecutive match, attacking at a .370 clip. Maggie McInerney and Natalie Schildt each accounted for 10 kills on the outside. Maya Patel dished out 32 assists, adding eight digs. Schildt and McInerney also had double-doubles, finishing with 19 and 14 digs, respectively. Ryan had seven digs and added one service ace.

UChicago will take on its final two non-conference opponents of the 2022 season on Saturday, Oct. 29, traveling to Ohio Northern to take on Marietta and ONU.
