Box Score KENOSHA, Wis. – University of Chicago's top-ranked men's soccer program won its 11th-consecutive match on Wednesday evening, defeating Carthage College 2-1 on the road in non-conference play.
UChicago opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and doubled its advantage after halftime in the 52nd minute. The Firebirds scored in the waning seconds of the match, but the Maroons came out victorious,
Lyndon Hu netted from outside the box on a feed from Naz Kabbani for his third goal of the season to put UChicago up 1-0. Ryan Yetishefsky added the second tally as Nathan Moonesinghe picked up his first assist of the season.
The win secures an undefeated season for the Maroons against non-UAA opponents as UChicago now has six conference matches remaining in the 2022 regular season.
The Maroons take on Emory on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. on the Stagg Field grass surface.
