Box Score CINCINNATI, Ohio – University of Chicago's men's basketball program won its second consecutive game to start the 2022-23 campaign on Saturday, downing Albion College 50-42 at the Mount St. Joseph Tournament.
The Maroons trailed by two at halftime, but held the Britons to just 16 points in the second half to escape with an eight-point victory. Joe Berry and Thomas Kurowski each had 11 points to lead the scoring effort. Elliot Paschal was also in double-figures, chipping in 10 points while adding three rebounds and two steals.
UChicago made eight threes in the game and 12 free throws while limiting Albion to six made free throws and zero made three-pointers. The Maroons also won the rebounding battle 44-27, which included 17 offensive rebounds.
