BRONX, N.Y. – University of Chicago's women's volleyball program wrapped up its 2022 regular season campaign with a five-set victory over Case Western Reserve on Saturday morning to conclude its weekend at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.

The Maroons raced out a two-set lead, but Case Western Reserve took the third and fourth frames to even the match at 2-2. UChicago found its form, however, in the final frame with a 15-9 win in the fifth-place match.

Diya Mishra racked up 18 kills at a blistering .314 clip to lead the offensive effort. Maggie McInerney added 15 kills while Ellie Alden chipped in 11. Maya Patel dished out 54 assists and also posted five service aces. As a team, UChicago had 14 service aces in the match. 

UChicago awaits its postseason fate as a potential at-large selection for the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship. The selection show is Monday, Nov. 7 at Noon (CT) on NCAA.com.
