Box Score CHICAGO – University of Chicago's men's basketball team dropped a tightly-contested matchup with No. 20 Emory on Friday evening, falling 77-70 in University Athletic Association (UAA) play.
The Maroons led by five at the halftime break and maintained a small advantage through some of the second half before the Eagles went on a late run to claim the seven-point win.
Eamonn Kenah scored a team-high 16 points and added seven rebounds. Joe Berry was also in double-figures with 12 points along with Arrish Bhandal who chipped in 10. Alec Bryan added seven off the bench in 11 minutes.
UChicago went 26-for-30 from the free throw line and scored 19 points off of 13 Emory turnovers. The Maroons led by as much as nine in the second half before relinquishing the advantage with seven minutes to go.
UChicago takes on No. 15 Rochester on Sunday, Feb. 5 at Noon at home.
