NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Chicago women's tennis team extended its winning streak to 12-straight matches with a 6-1 victory at Holy Cross College (Ind.) on Saturday evening.
The No. 1-ranked Maroons improved to 12-0 while the Saints fell to 4-7.
UChicago started fast by capturing the doubles point after taking all three doubles slots by scores of 6-3, 6-2 and 6-3. Singles featured five straight-set wins by the Maroons, as the visitors limited their opponents to four total games or fewer in each of the victories. Claudia Ng (No. 4) and Brianna Liu (No. 6) only allowed one game each in their matches.
Multi-winners included Shianna Guo, Nicole Geller, Miranda Yuan and Ng.
