It took the Maroons about 11 minutes of game time to warm up into their offense on a cold evening in Chicago. By the time the run ended, UChicago was staked to a 10-0 lead and cruised from that point on. The home side closed strong as well, tallying seven of the last eight goals in the contest.
UChicago's full ride on clears made things difficult for Carroll, who went 13-for-22 on clear attempts. Meanwhile, the Maroons were a clean 18 of 19 in those scenarios.
In the final stats, UChicago held advantages in shots (30-19), draw controls (17-10), ground balls (28-20) and turnovers (20-24).
