Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The University of Chicago men's soccer team lost a conference match-up 4-1 at University of Rochester on Sunday.
The Maroons fell to 8-4-4 overall, 2-3-1 in conference. The Yellowjackets ran their record to 9-3-3 overall, 2-1-3 in the UAA.
Rochester and Chicago exchanged goals one minute apart in the 24th and 25th minutes. The Yellowjackets got on the board first, but the Maroons tied it on a diving header by Kyle Kurfirst which was set up by a save that was punched off the crossbar.
The hosts recaptured the lead 2-1 in the 32nd minute by knocking the ball in off a goal post. Rochester kept control of the match in the second half - tapping in a mishandled ball at 72:17 and then scoring a penalty kick at 84:41. Physical play on the pitch picked up in the final 16 minutes of the match, and featured four yellow cards and one red card.
Chicago was outshot 20-4 in the match. Goalie David Cohen made five saves with four goals allowed in absorbing the loss.
