Box Score 2 UAA Championship Results
ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team beat Brandeis University 3-0 and lost to Washington University-St. Louis 3-1 at the UAA Championship on Friday. Chicago will next play Case Western Reserve University in the third-place match on Saturday.
In the first match of the tournament, the No. 2-seed Maroons (27-10) faced off against the No. 7-seed Judges (19-12). Chicago swept through for the 3-0 win, with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-21.
The balanced offensive effort featured six players who scored between four to six kills. Maggie Vaughn led the way with six kills, four blocks and two aces. Maren Loe, Katie Trela and Katie Huntington all had five kills each. Setter Nikki DelZenero dished out 28 assists to go with her six digs and two blocks. Libero Eirene Kim tallied 26 digs. Trela added three assisted blocks. Samantha Brown and Huntington collected nine digs each.

Later in the day, Chicago took on No. 3-seed Washington University-St. Louis (29-2). The Bears came away with a close 3-1 win by scores of 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23.
Huntington put up 15 kills and 16 digs on the outside. Caroline Brander tallied 14 kills. Loe totaled 11 kills while Morgan Barry scored eight kills with three blocks. DelZenero set 45 assists and collected 10 digs. Kim recorded 30 digs on the back line.
