UChicago Men's Soccer Beats Rochester 2-0, Extends Shutout Streak

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – For the third-straight game, University of Chicago men's soccer received another clean sheet from its defense in a 2-0 road victory at University of Rochester on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 6-ranked Maroons (6-1-4 overall, 2-0 UAA) have blanked five opponents on the season. The Yellowjackets dropped to 7-4 overall and 0-2 in the University Athletic Association.

Sophomore midfielder Sahil Modi struck the opening blow in the 31st minute, scoring off a rebound of his own previous shot. The insurance goal was provided by first-year forward Kameron Bloye in the 81st minute to account for his third tally of the year. The rookie scored off a 21-yard free kick.

UChicago outshot Rochester 11-6 overall, while the hosts led corner kicks 2-1.

Junior goalkeeper Aaron Katsimpalis (6-1-4 record) collected four saves for his 19th career shutout.
