Box Score 2 CHICAGO – University of Chicago's volleyball program fell to UW-Oshkosh and North Park on Friday at the North Park Invite.
The Maroons were downed in five sets by UW-Oshkosh before losing in four to host-North Park in their final game.
UW-Oshkosh
UChicago won sets one and four by identical scores of 25-22, but could not overcome the Titans in the fifth, falling 15-6 in the final frame.
Maggie McInerney led the attack with 17 kills while Natalie Schildt had 16 in support. Both were in double-digits with 12 and 21 digs, respectively, as each recorded a double-double. Ellie Alden had an efficient match offensively with nine kills, attacking at a .348 clip.
Diya Mishra and Cami Cox led the way at the net defensively, racking up 9.0 and 8.0 blocks, respectively. Julia Craig had 16 digs on the backline, adding four assists.
North Park
The Maroons won the third set, 25-16, but the other three frames were controlled by the host-Vikings whom won in four sets.
McInerney's 12 kills were a team-high while Schildt joined her in double-digits with 10 kills. Both also had double-doubles with 20 and 10 digs, respectively. Alden had six kills at a team-best .211 attacking percentage.
Maddie Ryan and Maya Patel combined for 21 assists. Craig picked up 18 digs in four sets from her libero position.
The Maroons return to their UAA slate next weekend, Sunday, Oct. 6, taking on NYU and Brandeis in Pittsburgh, Pa. at UAA Round Robin #2.
