CHICAGO – University of Chicago's women's soccer program fell 3-0 to Illinois Tech on the road in non-conference play on Thursday evening.

Both sides were nearly even on shots as the Maroons racked up 13 to IIT's 12, but eight saves from the Scarlet Hawks' keeper kept UChicago off the board. IIT managed two first half goals and added one more in the final 45 minutes to secure the 3-0 result.

Alai Araujo-Elorza and Maggie Jameson each registered two shots on target to lead the offensive effort. Ruthie Mitchell, Hannah Rittenhouse, Stella El-Fishawy and Livia Sabloff each added one shot on goal.

The Maroons take on NYU on Friday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 ET to continue their UAA slate.
