Adeoye Mabogunje established himself as the best jumper of UChicago's modern era in men's track & field. He finished his collegiate career on a high note by winning the 2004 NCAA national championship in the outdoor triple jump. Mabogunje qualified for the NCAA national meet seven times between the triple jump and high jump. He was previously a 2003 All-American in the indoor triple jump, and won four UAA event titles. He is the school record holder in four different events – indoor and outdoor triple jump, and indoor and outdoor high jump. Mabogunje has the best outdoor triple jump mark (15.45 meters) by almost a foot and the top indoor triple jump (15.35 meters) by over a foot.
