Wesley McGhee starred for both the men's track and field and football squads. He owns the school records for the 35-pound weight throw and the outdoor hammer throw while also racking up six UAA titles between the two events. McGhee earned All-American honors twice as a field athlete at the NCAA Championships – fourth in the indoor weight throw in 1994 and seventh in the outdoor hammer throw in 1992. On the gridiron, McGhee was a three-time All-UAA offensive lineman from 1991-93. He received the 1994 Stagg Medal as a senior.
