Wade Lewis gained distinction in baseball and basketball from 1979-83. As a baseball outfielder, Lewis stole 36 bases while being caught only once. In 1983, he earned All-Midwest Conference honors after batting .519. As a basketball guard, he led the Maroons in scoring in 1980-81 and averaged better than 10 points per game his final three seasons. Lewis received the Stagg Medal in 1983.
