Patrick Sullivan excelled as a runner for the Maroon men's track and field and cross country teams. He earned First Team All-UAA distinction in cross country three times in his career. On the track, his best event was the 1,500 meters, where he won five total UAA titles between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Sullivan held the UAA record in the outdoor 1,500 meters for 12 years. Nationally, he was a three-time All-American in the 1,500 meters, including a third-place finish at the 2004 indoor national meet. In the school records, Sullivan ranks second in the outdoor 1,500 meters (3:49.38), indoor one mile (4:12.42) and indoor 3,000 meters (8:20.06). He also resides among the top two all-time in four different relay distances.
