Gary Pearson was a leading scorer and rebounder for the men's basketball team from 1956-60. In the Chicago record books, Pearson's career statistics rank No. 4 in rebounds (696), No. 8 in scoring average (14.1 PPG) and No. 7 in free throws made (244). His best rebounding season came as a junior when he pulled down 13.6 rebounds per game.
