Alan Jacobs (1957-59) established school records in men's track and field that still stand more than 50 years later. As a sprinter, Jacobs holds the top marks in the outdoor 100 meters (10.34), outdoor 200 meters (21.14), and indoor and outdoor 4x200-meter relays. He also ranks third in the indoor 200 meters, indoor 55 meters and indoor 60 meters. While a collegian, Jacobs also tied the world record in the 70-yard dash with a time of 7.0 seconds. He earned the Bond Medal in 1959.
