William "Wink" Pearson, the 1968 Stagg Medal winner, was a three-year captain of the baseball team and two-year basketball captain. He was the top run producer for the 1967 baseball team that notched the program's best record in nearly two decades and helped guide the basketball team to a 35-17 mark his final three seasons.
