Janet Torrey Schultz was a three-sport star in volleyball, basketball and softball. She came to Chicago in 1977 as one of two Dudley Scholarship recipients and, in her freshman year, was a member of the softball team that won the 1977 IAIAW state championship. Torrey was a two-time volleyball MVP and one-time basketball MVP. She also holds the No. 8 career scoring average (11.5 PPG) in women's basketball history.
